We Will Look a Little Different

We have been doing our due diligence to prepare our clinic and its amenities for your utmost safety. With that, your visit to the clinic is going to look a little different. Please take a moment to note the following changes we have made and new policies.

Your Arrival to the Clinic:

  • Masks. We will be wearing masks until we hear from our College of Naturopathic Physicians of BC that we should be doing otherwise. We also will ask that you wear a mask. Please bring your own cloth or disposable mask for all in-person appointments. If you prefer, we will have masks available for purchase for $2 each. Payment is simple and touchless. We are not accepting cash at this time.
  • Hand Sanitizing. We will ask that you sanitize your hands and your child’s hands upon entering the clinic and before leaving.
  • Health and History Assessment. Our Patient Care Coordinators will be asking you a few quick questions upon your entrance to the clinic. We will keep it brief and we thank you for your kind cooperation.
  • Wayfinding. To keep you and our team safe, you’ll notice we’ve displayed posters and stickers around the clinic to help guide your way. Locations are marked for where to sit, stand, and sanitize.
  • Waiting Room. Please aim to come to the clinic at the time of your appointment and no sooner than 5 mins before your appointment so we can limit the time you are waiting in our reception area. If you are early, please wait in your car, the hallway, or take the time for a quick tea trip to Delany’s downstairs before your appointment time.

Clinic Physical Distancing + Sanitization Efforts:

  • Number of Practitioners. Our practitioners are conducting 50% of their consults at home and 50% in-person. The purpose of this reduced and staggered schedule is to reduce the overall number of people we have in the clinic at one time. There will be a lot of space to move around and keep your 6 feet (2 metres) distance.
  • Waiting Time. We have left ample time between patients to reduce the number of people in the clinic at one time and also to allow for adequate disinfecting between patients. We ask for your patience with us while we perfect our new systems. We will do our best to be on time for your appointment but are still learning our new procedures and some unanticipated wait times might be possible.
  • No Visitors. We ask that you please do not bring visitors with you to your appointments. Please come alone to the clinic for your treatment and to pick up your Natural Pharmacy items. Children will need to be accompanied by an adult if the consultation is for the child. Please speak with a Patient Care Coordinator if you absolutely need to bring someone with you to the clinic.
  • Cleaning Details. We are doing a lot to keep you safe. We have acquired all the necessary PPE essential in protecting and preventing the spread of COVID19. All sanitization products follow the Health Canada guidelines from hand sanitizers, hand wipes, and disinfecting products. Our frequency of cleaning and disinfection is dependent on the nature of use and contact of the item in question. Our clinic disinfects all patient contact items between each patient’s use. Examples are but not limited to treatment tables, headrests, armrests, chairs, physical exam equipment, contact surfaces, diagnostic tools, procedural work surfaces, commonly touched areas, light switches, door handles, taps, toilets, handrails, countertops, mobile devices, keyboards, pens, and towels.

Clinic Amenities’ Use:

  • Washroom Use. Please use the washroom before your visit to the clinic. Our washroom is currently reserved for only patients receiving IV Therapy or giving Urine Samples. For urgent matters that cannot be anticipated, please ask for the key to the shared common washroom in the hallway.
  • Personal items. Please leave any jackets, coats, extra bags you don’t require in your car or at home and do not bring these into the clinic.
  • Toys and Books. We have eliminated all books, magazines, toys from the children’s play area.

Contactless Exit:

  • Touchless Payment. With our new Jane booking system, you are able to pay invoices online without contacting any of our staff. We also now keep credit cards on file so please expect that after your visit, your card will be automatically charged.
  • Natural Pharmacy. We will not be taking any walk-in supplement requests. Please call or email us with your order request and our Patient Care Coordinators will gather your Natural Pharmacy items together and have them ready for you to grab and go. We will be quick and accept orders for same-day pickup. You can also submit your request online here.

We Are Here for You, Safely and Conveniently:

  • Hours. Our new physical clinic hours are Monday – Wednesday 9am-5pm; Thursday 9am-8pm; Friday 9am-5pm; Saturday 9am-5pm.
  • Please Consider Telemedicine. We continue to offer Virtual Telemedicine Consults to all patients. Please feel free to book an online consultation with us should you have any cold or flu symptoms, are self-isolating, or prefer to stay in the safety and comfort of your home or office. If you believe your concern is easily resolved by a Telemedicine consult and can avoid coming into the clinic, we encourage you to consider this option.

Thank you to our dear Restoration Community for your continued loyalty and support. You are the reason we are able to get up each day and practice our passion! We love naturopathic medicine so deeply and are so excited to see your beautiful faces in person again soon. Please reach out should you have any questions. We are here for you now and always. Please reply to this email or feel free to call us.

In health,
Dr. Julie Durnan
